If you were wondering when we would see something from Diamond Select Toys' showroom at Toy Fair, wonder no more. The Ghostbusters MiniMates Facebook page has shared with us new images of the Real Ghostbusters Minimates. 

We will first see a Real Ghostbusters four pack this summer with Egon, Ray, Slimer and Janine followed by an assortment of two packs exclusive to Toys "R" Us. The first series breaks down like this:

• Slimer (Ghostbuster) & Janine (Ghostbuster)
• Ray & Egon (four pack re-releases)
• Boogey Man (pictured above) & Terror Dog (blue)
• Sam Haim & the Egyptian Ghost

The Ghostbusters MiniMates Facebook page has photos of all the characters listed above as well as two versions of Louis Tully, a Logo Ghost MiniMate and a cartoon version of the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man.

Ghostbusters Roundup

There was gobs of news coming from the two major producers of Ghostbusters toys this week. Starting with Mattel, Scott "Toy Guru" Neitlich started a thread on the Matty Collector Ghostbusters forum here. Scott reassured fans that the line is performing well, but not well enough to warrant new tooling for 6-inch Real Ghostbusters.

BigBadToyStore has a couple of the Matty Collector Ghostbusters in their clearance section.

• 6" Peter Venkman (Courtroom) with Nunzio Scoleri - $16.00
• 6" Ray Stanz in Blue Lab Coat with Subway Ghost - $15.00

Most notably, Scott confirmed the following:

• Vinz Clortho (Louis Tully) will be the next Club Ecto-1 figure (he will be released in March)
•  After that, the next Ghostbuster release will come in May and will include a pack-in ghost
• GB2 Winston (with Slime Blower) will finally see release in July
• Mattel does not have the rights to produce a Louis Tully from Ghostbusters 2 (no jumpsuit Louis)
• Mattel looked into producing a Larry King figure, but they do not have the rights
• There will be two Ghostbusters 2 twelve-inch two-packs released in 2011
• Winston & Peter will come out first in April (they will include a lot of gear, including proton steams)

The eight-inch Retro-Action Ghostbusters have been hitting Toys R Us stores across the country en masse this week. Winston finds himself short packed at just one per case, while Peter is the heavy hitter with three figures per case. Egon and Ray are each packed two per case. If you're having trouble finding Winston or any of the Ghostbusters, Entertainment Earth currently has all figures in stock.

On the Diamond Select Toys front, we caught our fist glimpse of the Real Ghostbusters Minimates.

DST also started a Facebook page where they have treated fans to a look at the early stages of the Egyptian Ghost (Blacky) that will be released in the first series of Toys R Us exclusive two-packs.

Real Scale Stay Puft Marshamallow Man

MattyCollector.com forum user Vigo recently posted this photo of an in-scale Stay Puft Marshmallow Man from the Real Ghostbusters cartoon. Check out the Kenner action figures standing on his toes!

This is a huge Stay Puft my dad made based on the Kenner toy.

It is made of styrofoam and his head, arms and legs can be attached and detached.

The original Kenner GBs are standing on his feet to get an idea of the scale.

I reckon it is awesome!

The Slimer is also made out of styrofoam

 Looks great Vigo - and I thought the DST Stay Puft Marshmallow Man bank was cool!
