Borders bookstores have entered Chapter 11 bankruptcy and plan to close 30-percent of their stores. The Wall Street Journal has a complete listing of the 200 locations scheduled to close.
Borders, while primarily a bookstore, also sells its share of toys and collectibles. This past year, Borders even had their own exclusive version of the Marvel Select Iron Man 2 figure. In addition, Borders sells Marvel MiniMates, DC Direct items, LEGO Minifigures, an assortment of Domo merchandise, Playmobile sets and Twilight action figures.
While Borders' prices are traditionally higher than other retailers, coupons of at least 30-percent are consistently available to members of Borders' free rewards program.
